Bespoke Restaurant Bench Seating

How We Fitted Out Stacked House of Food
This is the finished result of a project we are genuinely proud of — bespoke restaurant bench seating designed and installed for Stacked House of Food, a bold and energetic burger restaurant that knew exactly what kind of atmosphere they wanted to create.
The brief was clear. They wanted seating that felt like part of the brand, not furniture that happened to be there. What you see in the image is the outcome of a process that started with a site visit, went through a visual sign-off stage, and ended with a full installation that the team at Stacked were thrilled with.
Here is how that process worked, and what went into making it.
The Client: Stacked House of Food
Stacked House of Food are a UK-based burger restaurant with a personality that comes through in every detail of their venue. If you have not come across them yet, their Instagram (@stackedhouseoffood) gives you a good sense of the energy they bring to what they do.
When they came to us, they were in the process of fitting out their dining space and needed seating that could anchor the whole room. The walls were clean and white. The floor was light. They needed something that would pull focus and make the space feel intentional rather than generic.
They had a corner wall space that was crying out for booth seating. And they had a colour in mind.
The Site Visit: Starting With the Actual Space
We do not design bespoke restaurant bench seating from a phone call. Before any measurements were taken or materials chosen, we visited the site.
That visit matters more than most clients expect. A floor plan tells you dimensions. Being in the room tells you how the light moves, where the natural focal points are, how the space feels when you are standing in it, and what the seating needs to do beyond just filling a corner.
At Stacked, it was immediately clear that the bench needed to be an L-shape running across two walls. The corner was the natural anchor point for the dining area, and the booth configuration would let them seat groups comfortably while keeping the rest of the floor open for smaller tables and chairs alongside it.
We took precise measurements of both wall lengths, the ceiling height, and the corner junction. Every millimetre matters when you are manufacturing upholstered seating that needs to sit flush against a wall and meet perfectly at a corner.
Showing Them Exactly How It Would Look Before We Built a Thing
Once the site visit was done, we did not just send a quote and ask for a decision. We showed them what the finished bench seating would look like in their actual space.
This is a step a lot of furniture suppliers skip. They send fabric swatches and dimensions and ask clients to imagine the rest. We think that is unfair. Bespoke restaurant bench seating is a significant investment and you should be able to see what you are getting before a single piece of foam is cut or a metre of upholstery is ordered.
Stacked chose their Arizona Plum Colour faux leather at this stage. Seeing it visualised in the space, against their white walls, made the decision easy. There was no second-guessing. They could see it was going to work.
Everything was confirmed at that point. Dimensions, colour, panel style, and the finishing detail that ended up being one of the most talked-about elements of the finished piece.
The Detail That Made the Difference: Corner Handles
The Stacked team wanted handles on both corner ends of the bench.
It sounds like a small thing. In practice it is one of those details that elevates a piece of furniture from well-made to genuinely considered. The handles sit on the outer corner panels at each end of the L-shaped bench, giving the seating a structured, almost architectural quality that a plain upholstered end panel simply does not have.
They also serve a practical function. In a busy restaurant where customers are moving in and out of bench seating throughout a service, a handle gives people something to hold as they slide in and out. It is the kind of detail that customers use without thinking about and would notice the absence of immediately.
This is exactly the kind of thing that is possible when furniture is made to order. You cannot add corner handles to an off-the-shelf booth. You can when you are working with a manufacturer who builds every piece from scratch to your specification.
The Build and Installation
The bench was manufactured at our workshop in Manchester using a solid internal frame, high-density foam throughout, and Arizona Plum Colour faux leather upholstery stitched in vertical panel sections across the backrest.
High-density foam is non-negotiable in our bespoke restaurant bench seating. In a commercial environment, seating takes a level of use that compresses low-density foam within months. High-density foam holds its shape and its comfort through years of daily service, which is what a working restaurant actually needs.
The vertical panel stitching on the backrest is both a visual choice and a structural one. It breaks the expanse of upholstery into clean sections that keep their shape well, and it gives the bench the kind of tailored, finished appearance you would expect from made-to-measure restaurant furniture rather than something that came out of a warehouse.
Installation was done on-site by our team. Both sections of the L-shape were fitted flush against the walls with the corner junction aligned precisely, and the corner handles were fitted last as a finishing touch.
The whole process from first site visit to completed installation was handled entirely by AllSpace Furnishings. No subcontractors, no coordination between multiple suppliers, no miscommunications about specifications. One team, start to finish.
The Finished Result
What you see in the photo is a room that knows what it is. The Arizona Plum Colour bench against the white walls does exactly what bold, well-executed bespoke restaurant bench seating is supposed to do.
It anchors the space. It makes the room feel designed rather than assembled. And it fits the brand of Stacked House of Food in a way that a standard catalogue bench never would have.
The marble-effect tables and the additional chairs alongside it work because the bench gives them something strong to sit next to. When the centrepiece is right, the rest of the room falls into place.
Is This the Kind of Project You Are Looking For?
If you are opening a restaurant, café or food venue in the UK and you want seating that actually reflects your brand rather than blending into the background, this is the kind of work we do.
We visit your site. We show you exactly how the finished piece will look before we build anything. We manufacture everything in Manchester to the exact dimensions your space requires. And we handle installation ourselves.
The whole range of bespoke restaurant bench seating and dining booths is on our website, along with our full range of commercial dining chairs, restaurant tables and commercial sofas.
Or if you have a specific project in mind, get in touch with the team directly and we will take it from there.
According to The Caterer, the physical environment of a restaurant is one of the strongest drivers of customer satisfaction and repeat visits. The furniture is not a finishing touch. It is the experience.
We start with a site visit before anything else. Measurements from a floor plan are useful but being in the actual space tells us far more about what the seating needs to do.
After the site visit we show you exactly how the finished bespoke restaurant bench seating will look in your space before we build anything. Once you are happy and everything is confirmed, we manufacture the piece in our Manchester workshop and install it ourselves.
Yes. Because every piece is made to order, we can incorporate details that are simply not possible with off-the-shelf restaurant furniture. Handles on corner panels, specific panel stitching styles, mixed upholstery colours and non-standard dimensions are all things we handle as part of the normal build process.
The corner handles on the Stacked House of Food bench are a good example — a detail that adds both a visual finish and a practical function that customers use throughout every service.
We use high-density foam throughout all our bespoke restaurant bench seating. In a commercial environment, seating takes a level of use that compresses low-density foam within a few months, leaving customers sitting on what is essentially a hard surface.
High-density foam holds its shape and comfort through years of daily service, which is what a working restaurant actually needs from its seating.
Our own team handles installation. We do not use subcontractors. That means the people who measured your space and built your bench seating are the same people fitting it, which removes the risk of miscommunication between suppliers and ensures the finished installation matches the specification exactly.
From the initial site visit to completed installation, most bespoke restaurant bench seating projects take four to eight weeks depending on the complexity of the specification and your venue’s availability for installation.
If you are working towards a specific opening date, get in touch with us as early in your planning process as possible so we can build your project into our schedule with enough time to do it properly.
